Memories from 40 years in the stamp and coin business
by Brian Grant Duff
All Nations and The Bay Coin and Stamp Department 2000
Ran the Bay Coin and Stamp department for a year and a half by myself.

David Hamilton operated All Nations for us. The Bay shop was on the fourth floor next to Watch Repair and Toys. It had existed since 1939. Once the Watch Repair relocated we moved our bidboard auctions to that space. The Mint’s millennium coin program continued and another error, denominating a quarter sized medallion atop the set, quickly rose to $2,000.

All Nations got some money from the film industry when Dark Angel with Jessica Alba filmed there.

We bought Hamster Stamps’ worldwide red box inventory and opened an office in the Seymour Tower for storage. David ran an All Nations coin auction at the Oakridge Coin Show.

The Hudson’s Bay Company was honoured on a stamp in the millennium series.
