When watch repair moved, we were able to take their adjacent space and begin bidboard auctions at our downtown Bay location. Jurgen Gothe was an occasional client who bought coins as gifts.
We tried to recapture the old Eaton & Sons’ auction days by partnering with David Allen, Andrew Blanchard, Beverly Fox, and Mike Sagar in selling the Jim Longbourne collection at the Holiday Inn Harbourfront. The sale was well attended, but a one-off.
When local artist Susanna Blunt redesigned the Queen’s effigy on our coins, we hosted her for an instore appearance.
Canada Post issued the write me, ring me phonecard set.
The Mint issued a coloured poppy quarter that it was later revealed the Americans thought was a tracking device.
Bill Reid’s Haida art was featured in the new $20 banknote.
